1 What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something about your visit — for example your language choice — so the next page works as you expect. Some cookies are essential; others are there to measure or improve the site.

2 Essential cookies

These are needed for the site and the booking process to work. They cannot be switched off in our systems, and the site would not function properly without them.

• A short-lived session identifier that keeps your booking and contact form working as you move between pages.
• reCAPTCHA security cookies, set by Google, which confirm you are a person (not a bot) when you send a booking or enquiry. These are described further under “Third-party services” below.

3 Preference cookies

If you change the site language, we remember that choice so it stays the same on later pages. This is stored as a language preference cookie set by our translation tool, and we also keep the choice in your browser’s local storage.

4 Analytics

We run a simple, first-party analytics measure to understand which trips and pages are useful, so we can improve the site. It does not use advertising cookies and does not build a profile of you across other websites. Visit information is sent to our own server and is kept anonymous in practice — we use your browser’s session storage (not a tracking cookie) to avoid counting the same visit twice.

5 Third-party services

A few features are provided by trusted third parties, and those providers may set their own cookies:

• Google reCAPTCHA — bot protection on our booking and contact forms.
• Google Translate — the optional language switcher; it stores your chosen language.

Those cookies are governed by the providers’ own policies, not ours.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies may stop the booking or contact forms from working correctly. Clearing cookies will also remove your saved language choice.

This site does not currently show a separate cookie-consent banner; the only cookies set are the essential, preference and first-party analytics cookies described above. If you would like a cookie setting added, let us know using the contact details below.
