Experience

Taghazout sits at the start of the most scenic stretch of coast in the region, and this half-day trip follows it north. We collect you from your hotel in the afternoon and drive the coast road past Aourir, Tamraght, Aghroud, Tamri and Tighirt, with the Western High Atlas falling into the Atlantic on your left.

There are stops along the way at the painted village of Imi Ouadar and the wide beach at Aghroud, and a climb up Tabouga mountain for the view. Sandboarding is available there as an optional extra if you want to try the dunes on a board.

The last hour is the reason most people book. We reach the Timlaline dunes as the light goes golden, and you watch the sun drop behind the sand with the beach on the other side. Bring a layer: the evening on the dunes is cooler than Taghazout.
