Experience
The desert south of Agadir is closer than it looks on a map, and this full day takes you right to its edge in a private 4x4. We collect you from your hotel in Taghazout or Tamraght at 08:20 and head south along the coast.
The morning is the off-road part. You drive out onto the sand for a dune bashing session, then continue to Sidi R'bat, where fishermen still keep caves in the soft rock above a wild beach. From there the route follows the Massa river towards the national park, a good stop for birdlife in winter, before turning inland on an old rally track that runs towards the Atlas foothills and the dam.
Lunch is at a local house: tagine or couscous, fruit and tea, cooked for the group and included. After eating there is time for a short walk before the drive back, and we drop you at your hotel by about 17:00.

- The dune bashing is spirited. Anyone pregnant, with back or neck problems, or recovering from surgery should tell the driver to take it easy or skip that section.
- Not suitable for children under five.
- The beach at Sidi R'bat has no facilities — use the hotel facilities before departure.
- Birdlife at Massa varies by season; winter migration is the peak.
